Unnamed Person: “Leave the country”

Nothing new here, but what absolute total losers, MSNBC, and the rest of American media. American news media is an absolute joke. Pathetic. Its purpose is nothing other than to misinform, and to make American people into stupefied morons. What a joke of a country.
Megan Bartell
Megan Bartell You got that right.

Unnamed Person: Total disclosure. I didn’t read the article. I’m not interested in Megan Kelly giving Putin a mic. But I think you go too far. American news media is not a joke. She may be. And IMO Fox is and some other parts of media. But to say the entire news media is a joke is a TOTAL overstatement. There are many many many excellent reporters and anchors on TV that are doing their best to give us accurate, honest and full reports on what is going on. Your broad brush does not contribute anything of substance to our citizenry. It just foments more stupidity. IMO.

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder Take any issue of any significance, starting first with any, and all, of the wars the US is either currently in, directly or by proxy, or threatening, and compare the actual reality of any and all of them to the reality presented in American media, and you will find that people who watch and read standard American media know none of the actual facts, and that absolutely none of what they believe to be true is true. The failure of American media is total. There are important exceptions in the margins
Tim Butterworth
Tim Butterworth It is absolutely a joke and you refusing to “give Putin a mic” is all the proof anyone needs. You destroyed your own argument with that one statement. If you had any real and thoughtful media, we would not be in this mess. Instead, you ooze ‘Murican ignorance and exceptionalism. If you think your criminal media has nothing to do with that level of misinformation, well… I guess the brainwashing is working.

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder Absolutely. They only person representing a political culture (among all the western nations) that acts in the world in a manner based on reason, principle, human decency, and respect for other people and other countries, is Putin. Russia and Putin set the only decent example. If anyone should be given a mic, it’s Putin. Compare Russian actions and behavior both in the world and internally, and Russia is the only sane and legitimate one in the room. The rest are war mongering mass murderers and sycophants of one type or another (careerist or literally too stupid to understand anything)

Don Ross
Don Ross Expanding on the above comments, I suggest a revisit to Baghdad in 2004 when four Americans were burnt alive and hung from a bridge over the Euphrates. If you were to watch three different news sources CNN (America), ABC (Australia), or European coverage, you got three different takes.
The American version was censored to keep Americans from hearing what really happened.
Australia was more open, bur reserved. The worldwide services presented the whole story – warts and all.

Max Born
Max Born And those 4 Americans matter more than the Americans total destruction of that country and over a million Iraqi deaths…? Surely not…?
Unnamed Person: So what country is all pure as the driven snow that you would approve of? Why aren’t you there if you hate this one so much?
Unnamed Person: “They only person representing a political culture (among all the western nations) that acts in the world in a manner based on reason, principle, human decency, and respect for other people and other countries, is Putin.” OIC. Russia. When do you leave?

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder Pure as the driven snow? There is a chasm from here to the moon between “pure as the driven snow” and just rising to meet even the most minimal standards of basic human decency. The US is far and away the greatest offender. No other county is anywhere close.
Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder You leave. Will you please?
Unnamed Person: No. I’m not the one who hates this country so much. I’m not the one who’s disparaging everything we do, who thinks it’s rotten to the core. That’s you, hon. When are you moving to Russia? I hear it’s really great there. I heard a young man the other day say that he worked three years to save up enough money to buy an $80 pair of shoes.

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder You are the one who hates this country, and the entire world. It is my duty as a citizen to disagree when my country serially commits wars of aggression, crimes against peace and humanity. You hate this country so much that you ignore it. You also know absolutely nothing about Russia, the United States, or anywhere else in the world.
Unnamed Person: You’re exactly like your chosen fuhrer Donald Trump. Won’t work with me. I’m immune to gas lighting. I don’t associate with sociopaths so I’m outta here. I only saw your post because I’m “friends” with someone who’s friends with you. May have to re-think that association. So long traitors.

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder I have opposed these wars since 2011. Has nothing to do with Trump and I couldn’t care less about Trump.
Unnamed Person: I oppose wars too. I’ve opposed them a LOT longer than you.

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder You do not oppose wars. If you did you would say none of the things you said here.

Jack Barry
Jack Barry Give it up lady, the U.S. is the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism and your media goes along with it. The world looks on in horror at your country and it’s poisoned, pathetic, complacent population.
The released DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) report makes the following summary points concerning “ISI” (in 2012 “Islamic State in Iraq,”) and the soon to emerge ISIS:
* Al-Qaeda drives the opposition in Syria
* The West identifies with the opposition
* The establishment of a nascent Islamic State became a reality only with the rise of the Syrian insurgency (there is no mention of U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq as a catalyst for Islamic State’s rise, which is the contention of innumerable politicians and pundits; see section 4.D. below)
* The establishment of a “Salafist Principality” in Eastern Syria is “exactly” what the external powers supporting the opposition want (identified as “the West, Gulf Countries, and Turkey”) in order to weaken the Assad government
* “Safe havens” are suggested in areas conquered by Islamic insurgents along the lines of the Libyan model (which translates to so-called no-fly zones as a first act of ‘humanitarian war’; see 7.B.)
* Iraq is identified with “Shia expansion” (8.C)
* A Sunni “Islamic State” could be devastating to “unifying Iraq” and could lead to “the renewing facilitation of terrorist elements from all over the Arab world entering into Iraqi Arena.”
“Obama knew that Nusra was his only hope for overthrowing Assad; and, so, he quietly decided to back them.
Al Qaeda in Syria has been absolutely central to America’s war-effort in Syria — it has provided not only America’s proxy ‘boots on the ground’ (which Obama backed up with American air power) but the leadership of America’s other proxy ‘boots on the ground’ in that war. (Since they were mere proxies, instead of actual U.S. troops, they also had the advantage for Obama, of the press not blaming the U.S. for their terror-acts. By quietly arming the jihadists, their mass-murders wouldn’t be blamed on Obama — especially because Obama himself condemned Nusra as being a «terrorist» organization. For American ‘news’ media, this put the necessary verbal distance between himself and what Nusra and the other jihadists did — which he quietly backed.)”

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder https://consortiumnews.com/…/the-us-hand-in-the…/These wars are absolutely un-American (other than the now obvious fact that wars like this are standard American behavior). It’s those Americans who dream up and design these wars, and those who complacently go along with them, who are “un-American” and who “should leave”, not those who believe instead that America should rise at least to the most basic minimal standards of human decency. Calling for minimal decency is not in any way like calling for being “pure as the driven snow”, and anyone using that phrase (a phrase that by the way has been supplied to you by America’s corrupt power establishment) in opposition to critique and assessment of American policy, internal and external, shows beyond doubt that he knows absolutely nothing about American policy
Exclusive: The Obama administration’s “regime…
Rob Snyder
I’m 50 years old, long enough to remember a different kind of American media. It was always jingoistic, but what we have now I think even Orwell would be amazed (disgusted). “Journalists” of course are given storylines. The storyline of any story, is given to them. They must write in such a way that they select only “facts” that support the storyline that’s given to them, and omit/ignore all other information/facts. If they’re actually informed and thoughtful instead, they’re not invited to continue, their careers cut short. What this means of course is that there is no such thing as journalism anymore, not in the major media. People who have that job title work under totalitarian constraint that makes journalism impossible. And secondly, along with this, the number of people in American media who even are called journalists has been slashed dramatically since 30 years ago. American news organizations just have very few of them anymore anyway. What they have instead are actors who are paid to hyperventilate and create endless hysteria over minutia that have nothing to do with anything that matters. These people are paid very well to do that and to hype the “storylines” that are written for them by those who control the media. The Pentagon for example has an enormous budget for the writing of storylines and provision of “sources” (and an enormous staff) for “control” of information space.
Maryvonne Marinelli
Maryvonne Marinelli Rob Snyder amazing how people can even listen to them anymore.
Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder It is amazing yes. I see people I’ve known a long time watching this daily, people I’ve respected in my work life. I see them posting clips and articles from CNN, MSNBC, believing these provide intelligent informed reporting (and opinion) because they’re not Fox. That idea was partially valid years ago, but to continue with that idea since 2011 makes no sense, and particularly over the last year, the level of absolute insanity purveyed, I don’t know how people can’t see that. Conditioning I guess
Maryvonne Marinelli
Maryvonne Marinelli Rob Snyder guess it is easier not to.
Maryvonne Marinelli
Maryvonne Marinelli This is more than dumbing down. This is complete sabotage . Putin deserves to be listened to.
But no one will ever take interest in this so i guess it’s a moot point.
Tim Butterworth
Tim Butterworth Corporate media is absolute rubbish and people are rendered stupid simply by exposing themselves to it. 😑
Maryvonne Marinelli
Maryvonne Marinelli Rob Snyder is there a rt version with sub titles? The long version of course.
Rob Snyder
